Effective 1 April 2026, the European Patent Office (EPO) is increasing the official fees associated with filing European patent applications.
While most official fees are set to increase by about 4.5–5.5%, the filing fee, excess page fees, and opposition and appeal fees will stay the same.
The updated fees and their corresponding new amounts are outlined below.
