IP AND LEGAL CONFERENCE SEASON IS HEATING UP!

In-person conferences began returning last year, and this year there are a ton of conferences. If you have Spring fever, legal and IP professionals have several options starting in March:

MAURITIUS JOINS THE MADRID AND HAGUE SYSTEM

Mauritius is the 114th member of the Madrid system, bringing the number of countries covered by WIPO’s international trademark system to 130. The Madrid Protocol will take effect on May 6th, 2023.

Mauritius has also joined the Hague system, bringing the number of countries covered by WIPO’s design system to 95. The 1999 Act will enter into force on May 6th, 2023.

HAGUE FEE UPDATES

Israel Fee Updates – Effective March 29: There will be a reduction in the individual designation fees applicable when designating Israel in an international application or when renewing an international registration.

  • International application: 117 Swiss Francs (CHF)

  • 1st renewal: 146 CHF 2nd renewal: 175 CHF 3rd Renewal: 204 CHF 4th Renewal: 234 CHF
