CONFERENCE SEASON IS UPON US!
Spring is (almost) here, and conference season is ramping up. Here are some of the major IP and legal conferences in March:

US PATENT EGRANTS START APRIL 18
The USPTO has issued a Final Rule in the Federal Register to implement electronic patent issuance effective April 18, 2023.
Under this change, the USPTO will issue electronic patent grants (eGrants) through the Patent Center, the USPTO’s electronic patent application filing and management system, which includes patent document viewing.
During a transition period, the USPTO will provide a paper copy of the electronic patent grant as a ceremonial copy, delivered to the patentee’s correspondence address of record. The electronic patent grant is the official statutory patent grant.
CANADA FEE INCREASE
On April 1, 2023, the fee for filing a Certificate of Supplementary Protection (CSP) will increase from $9,952 to $10,152 in accordance with subsection 9(1) of the Certificate of Supplementary Protection Regulations (Canada Gazette notice).
