This week, we learned that Turkey has increased its patent and trademark fees for a second time this year. This latest update impacts nearly every type of fee and is on top of a significant increase that took effect at the beginning of the year.

Turkey Patent and Trademark Fee Updates Effective April 24th
Highlights of the patent fee increase:
- National patent applications are now TRY 360.
- EP validations are TRY 14,360.
- Search fees are now TRY 2,870
- Examination fees are TRY 2,870
Maintenance Fees (TRY)
3rd Year – 2,190 | 4th Year – 2,450 | 5th Year – 3,250 |
6th Year – 3,980 | 7th Year – 4,360 | 8th Year – 4,810 |
9th Year – 5,190 | 10th Year – 5,620 | 11th Year – 6,300 |
12th Year – 7,230 | 13th Year – 8,250 | 14th Year – 9,260 |
15th Year – 10,570 | 16th Year – 11,500 | 17th Year – 12,710 |
18th Year – 13,550 | 19th Year – 14,260 | 20th Year – 14,840 |
Trademark Highlights:
- Applications (1st class and 2nd class) are each TRY 1,630.
- 3rd and subsequent classes are TRY 1,810.
- Grant fees are TRY 4,020.
- Renewal fees are TRY 5,010.
