February Feature Highlight – Complexity Level Fees

Our first spotlight this month was born out of a need by one of our latest law firm clients.

Some law firm fees can be more of a cost range based on application complexity.  A simple, low-page, low-claim application might fall at the lower end of the range, while a highly complex, large application requires many more resources, thereby increasing costs.

We’ve added a new complexity field option on the Fee Maintenance screen, allowing the setup of Low, Medium and High complexity fees to support a range of costs based on application complexity.

In IP Forecaster, the complexity field is only visible if a country is selected that has fees with a complexity level setup.  When a user selects a specific complexity level of the application, then that level of fees will be applied to the forecast results.
