Georgia PCT Patent Fee Updates
This week’s patent updates are limited to some updates for Georgia. Nothing earth-shattering; the PCT Applicant’s Guide was updated to include some updated national filing costs and new costs for utility models.

Updated Georgia PCT Patent Fees
Highlights of the Georgia Updates:
- In Annex C: Receiving Office
- The fee for substantive examination up to 10 claims is USD 300.
- The fee for substantive examination for each additional claim filed is USD 30.
- Utility Models
- The fee for examination of an application, up to 30 pages is USD 100.
- The fee for examination of an application is USD 3 for each additional page above 30.
- The fee for substantive examination up to 10 claims is USD 150.
- The fee for each additional claim over 10 is USD 15.
- The fee for substantive examination for each additional claim filed after issuing examination report is USD 15.
- The fee for registration of utility model, publication of utility model, or issuance of utility model certificate is USD 150.
- The fee for reinstatement of a utility model is USD 100.
- The maintenance fees for utility models for the 9th and 10th years is reduced from USD 300 to USD 250.
