Patent – Trademark – Design Fee Updates – Week of Jan 30

This week, we have a little bit of something for everyone. Some minor PCT updates for Israel and Iceland, a Madrid update for Israel, and Hague updates for Israel, Japan, and Hungary.

Israel Fee Update

Israel Patent Fees
Highlights of the Israel PCT Updates effective from March 1, 2024:
  • Annex D – International Searching Authorities
    • The Search fee will decrease from CHF 912 to CHF 907 for Israel.

 

Highlights of the Israel Madrid Updates effective from March 4, 2024:

Application Fees

  • The Application fee for one class of goods and services will increase from CHF 413 to CHF 427.
  • The Application fee for additional classes will increase from CHF 310 to CHF 321.

Renewal Fees

    • The Renewal fee for one class of goods and services will increase from CHF 736 to CHF 761.
    • The Renewal fee for additional classes will increase from CHF 621 to CHF 642.
 
Highlights of the Israel Hague Updates effective from March 7, 2024:
  • The Application fee will increase from CHF 102 to 106. 
  • The Reduced Amount fee will increase from CHF 61 to CHF 63.
  • The First Renewal fee will increase from CHF 128 to CHF 132.
  • The Second Renewal fee will increase from CHF 153 to CHF 158.
  • The Third Renewal fee will increase from CHF 179 to CHF 185. 
  • The Fourth Renewal fee will increase from CHF 204 to CHF 211.

Iceland PCT Fee Increases from March 1, 2024

Iceland
Highlights of the Iceland Updates:
  • Annex C – Receiving Office
    • The International Filing fee will increase from ISK 202100 to ISK 213100.
    • The fee per sheet in excess of 30 will increase from ISK 2300 to ISK 2400. 
    • The fee for Electronic Filing (the request) will increase from ISK 30400 to ISK 32100.
    • The fee for Electronic Filing (description claims and abstracts) will increase from ISK 45600 to ISK 48100.

Japan Hague Design Fee Updates from March 1, 2024

Patent Fees
Highlights of the Japan Updates:
  • The Application fee will decrease from CHF 507 to 436. 
  • The First, Second, Third and Fourth Renewal fee will decrease from CHF 574to CHF 493.

Hungary Hague Design Fee Updates from March 1, 2024

Hungary
Highlights of the Hungary Updates:
  • The fees for the first design will increase from 47 Swiss Francs to 60 Swiss Francs.
  • The fees for each additional design included in the same international application will increase from 11 Swiss Francs to 20 Swiss Francs.
