Prokurio supports several authentication methods, including email/password and Single Sign On (SSO). For SSO, Prokurio utilizes Microsoft Entra, which was formerly known as Active Directory.
We have only tested our Single Sign On with Microsoft Entra. If you utilize an alternative SSO solution, we will work with you to connect your solution.
Note: Currently SSO is only available to clients on our EU server. SSO for US clients is coming shortly.
To get started with setup for SSO, you will need to invite a Microsoft Entra Administrator to your Prokurio site using email and password authentication. Only Entra administrators have the permissions required to configure the Entra integration – regular user accounts are unable to configure the interface.
Once your Entra Administrator logs in to the site with their email ID and password, they need to go to Firm Setup
- First, you will want to click the Connect with Microsoft Entra button.
- You will also want to decide what permissions new users receive and what login methods you want to support. When getting started, we recommend selecting “Both” for login options to enable users to use passwords and SSO.
- You will have the opportunity to review the permissions granted to us and accept the permission request
- You will now see that you are connected with Microsoft Entra.
- You can also set your preferred login methods and default role. If your user community will primarily be paralegal or docketing users, we recommend a default of “Team Member“. If your user community will be attorneys or less-frequent users, we recommend “Attorney” or “Forecaster Only“.
- If you go into the Microsoft Entra Admin Console, you will see the registered application.
Managing users is slightly different with SSO enabled, so we have an article dedicated to that process. Click here for that article.
