Running an Advanced National Forecast

Prokurio’s IP Forecaster provides advanced national design forecasting capabilities, enabling users to generate accurate cost estimates efficiently. Forecasts can be easily saved, emailed, or exported for seamless sharing with colleagues or clients.

Let’s estimate the cost to obtain a National Design in the United States, including additional countries such as Canada, China, France, and Germany.

From your Homepage at the top under Create New Forecast, click the ” National Designs ” button. This will take you directly to the Design Forecast Request screen.

Select your Starting Point of “United States” from the National Designs Forecast Request screen. You can use type-ahead to narrow the list, and either use the arrow keys to select your selection, and hit the enter key. Repeat the same for other countries that you would need to add.
Note: The Include All Phases toggle is optional. Turn it on to view all fees across each stage, or leave it off to include only the fees you want to see.
Filing Type – This is based on the countries in which the forecast will be run.

Under the Application Details tab, enter your application details. For this example, we will enter 2 designs, with 7 application pages.
Extending the protection to 10 years is available to some countries.

Under Reproduction, this is available to some countries. We can enter 2 for the Number of Reproductions (Black & White)Designs and 2 for the Number of Reproductions (Color).

Click Create Forecast to proceed.

Forecast Results: You are now at your forecast results screen. You may click on the expansion arrows on each phase to view more details.

Canada National Design Forecast
For the National Design Forecast in Canada, you can select the Filing Type from classic or simplified filing type. You would also need to fill out the reproduction tab to proceed with this forecast.
