Comparing ISAs When Forecasting a PCT Application

IP Forecaster makes it simple to compare International Searching Authorities (ISAs) during PCT application forecasting, helping you assess fee differences and select the most suitable authority in one place.

Let’s forecast the costs for a PCT application and compare different International Searching Authorities (ISAs).

  • From your Homepage at the top under Create a New Forecast, click the button labeled Patent. Then select PCT Applications.  This will take you directly to the PCT Forecast screen.

  • You will see that WIPO is already selected as the Starting Point.
  • Select the Country that will serve as the Receiving Office.
  • Now, choose multiple ISAs so you can view and compare the forecast results side by side.
  • Click on the Create Forecast button at the bottom to generate your results.

Forecast Results: The forecast results now display a side-by-side comparison of the selected ISAs.

  • Saving and Sharing (bottom left) allows you to Save, Edit, Export, Create New, or Send by Email your forecast results.
